June 12th. A walk along the Anglesey coastal path East from Amlwch brings you to this abandoned chemical factory, decaying for the last 20 years. Nature is reclaiming it, slowly, the concrete and wood structures are disintegrating and some of these will collapse in the not too distant future. It staggers me how we allow industry to create these structures, but not required to dismantle them and return the landscape to its original condition. Probably due to the company going out of business, and no doubt starting up again with a new name to remove this obligation.
