A free event dedicated to exploring creative approaches to access with and for visually impaired people arrived in Pontio, Bangor in November. 2024 Vertical dance artist Kate Lawrence is collaborating with Disability Arts Cymru and the North Wales Society of the Blind to present “Out of Sight”, a daylong event exploring how the arts can become more accessible and inviting for everyone.
"Out of Sight" promises an eclectic day of screenings, performances, works in progress, talks and discussions, designed to engage and inspire visually impaired and blind individuals, as well as arts organisations and artists committed to fostering inclusive practices.
"Out of Sight" is not just an event—it's an opportunity to be part of a movement towards greater inclusivity in the arts. Whether you are a visually impaired individual, an artist or a member of an arts organisation, your voice and experiences are invaluable in building a more accessible future.
